A video showing the action of fans climbing standing system during the match between Indonesia and Thailand Cup AFF in Gelora Bung Karno went viral on social media. This action was highlighted as being considered harmful to other viewers.
From the viral video as seen detik comon Friday (30/12/2022), a fan dressed in white was seen getting on standing system during the match. You can see him screaming and dancing there.
Other supporters can also be heard in the video reminding the man to get off. Additionally, several other people were seen approaching the man and ordering him to get off. Because, not only can he damage the structure, but the action is also considered dangerous for himself and for the other fans who are under him.
“Down, down!” the fans shouted.
Instead of coming down, the man was still perched there as he danced. You can even see his body gestures as if ordering those who reminded him to be silent and pay no attention to his actions.
Seeing this, other spectators then forcibly dragged the man towards the stands. Then there was a quarrel between them. Meanwhile, several other people tried to intervene.
In response to the video, Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said his party had not received any reports of it. Because, he continued, the security inside the stadium was carried out by the executive committee or steward.
“In the realm of the panpel (executive committee) or steward. We will enter if requested by the leadership steward”, Komarudin said when contacted on Friday (12/30/2022).
Komarudin said there had been no police report on the man’s actions. He said police would follow up if there was a report.
“Not yet (there is a report). We will definitely follow up if they report it,” he said.
