Video of a man who was later identified with the initials DH (39) being beaten by someone suspected of being his superior with the initials MAZ viral on social media. The incident allegedly occurred at the Tax Service Office Bekasi North, Bekasi City, West Java (West Java).
police chief Bekasi Timur AKP Rida Aditya confirmed the incident. According to him, the incident occurred on Monday (6/6/2022), at 08.00 WIB.
Ridha said the alleged perpetrator was the victim’s superior who gave the work to be completed. On that day, the victim was called to be asked about the results of his work.
“The victim was called by the perpetrator and asked about the work and the victim answered that it had been done and the evidence was shown. Then the perpetrator still insisted that the victim had not done it,” said Ridha when asked for confirmation, Tuesday (7/6).
After being given an explanation by the victim, the perpetrator was said to still not believe it. The suspect allegedly asked the victim who did not answer her calls on Saturday and Sunday.
“The perpetrator also accused the victim that he gave a fake cellphone number in the employee data that contained a family number that could be contacted. That the victim answered that the number was his wife’s cellphone number,” he said.
The victim, he said, provided screenshot evidence of the perpetrator’s call to his wife’s cellphone. When the victim was about to leave, the perpetrator was said to have hit the victim in the face.
“Then the victim turned around and was about to leave when the perpetrator hit him with his right hand and hit the victim’s left jaw, causing the victim to fall to the floor,” he said.
The victim was then helped by colleagues at the location and taken to the hospital. Rida explained that currently his party is still in the investigation stage.
“We have received the report and while it is still in the process of examining witnesses related to the investigation stage,” he said.
