A viral woman in Depok complained of a lump in her eye for months and it didn’t go away. He initially thought he had a stye, until later he found out the condition was caused by a chalazion.
Quoted from Web MD, a chalazion is a swelling or lump that mostly occurs in the upper eyelid. Chalazion can occur when there is a blockage in the meibomian glands due to skin disorders such as rosacea or seborrheic dermatitis, to inflammation of the edges of the eyelids.
The owner of the TikTok account @Ismajeslyn finally decided to go to the hospital for further treatment. He explained the pain appeared in one to three days suffering from chalazion, the size of the lump over time also seemed to get bigger.
“Finally, I dared myself to take action in the hospital,” said the 24-year-old woman on her TikTok account, quoted by detik.com with her permission.
“Meet again with the OP knife,” he continued.
To detik.comhe admitted that the cause of chalazion was probably due to exposure to dust to the rest of the make up on the face that was not cleaned, especially in the eye area.
“So at first, it could be due to dust and lack of cleaning the rest of the make-up in the eyelid area, such as the use of mascara and eyeshadow that are not clean when cleaned in the eye area,” he explained.
“It is also possible that the doctor said that it is from dust and sensitive skin can also be susceptible to infection,” continued Isma Jeslyn.
People with chalazion can get better on their own without treatment, but it can take up to six months. In this case, Isma chose to be immediately treated at the hospital because according to him it was quite disturbing appearance.
