At first, Jane experienced cracks and sores on her middle finger. He had thought, the condition was due to a seafood allergy (seafood).

“Initially, the symptoms were red and hot, then spots appeared like water fleas and it was really itchy, then the next day he was dry, itchy hot. This problem escalated when he often washed his hands and used hand sanitizer. Although the use of these materials has been reduced, his finger is still injured. Then Jane consulted a doctor and it was found that the cause was the laundry soap she was using.

Why Laundry Soap Can Make Hand Sores?

A skin specialist from DNI Skin Center, dr I Gusti Nyoman Darmaputra, SpKK, FINSDV, FAADV explained that laundry soap can indeed cause two reactions, namely allergic contact dermatitis and irritant contact dermatitis.

“It (Allergic Contact Dermatitis) means a type of eczema that occurs in certain people. The main picture is that this actually happens to certain people, meaning that different people using hand soap will not cause any reaction, but in people who have allergic contact dermatitis talents , he will have a reaction like before,” he explained to detikcom, Tuesday (2/8).
