A video showing a number of residents surrounding and securing a car is viral on social media. The incident is said to have occurred in Sunter, North Jakarta.
The incident occurred in Sunter, North Jakarta. In the video narration, it is stated that a resident driving a car hit a number of motorbikes at the location. It was stated that the car was on the police wanted list (DPO).
In the video narration, it is also stated that the perpetrator carried a firearm. The suspect is believed to have been trying to escape.

Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Monday (4/7).
“Yes, there was an incident yesterday in a case of confinement,” said Hengki at the Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/7/2022).
Hengki said the perpetrator tried to run away when he was about to be arrested by the police. The suspect hit a number of people at the scene.
“We caught them and put up a fight. They went against the flow and hit several victims,” explained Hengki.
Hengki has not yet identified the identity of the perpetrator who was trying to escape when he was arrested. He said the perpetrators have now been detained and questioned at the Polda Metro Jaya.
“(The perpetrator) is one person. We are still developing it,” said Hengki.
