Witnesses evoke a tornado in Valence-d’Agen
This is particularly the case of Michel, a resident of rue de la République: “It was a little after 7:15 p.m. I had closed the roller shutters and then suddenly a tornado hit the house. While I have double glazing, the water was coming through the windows, I heard impacts, a huge noise, I thought it was hail but no, the rain was hitting so hard that it was scary. I was longing for it to stop. At 7:45 p.m., I was able to go out into the street and see damage everywhere.”

From his flooded business, he describes the situation on Boulevard Victor-Guihem: “The water rose halfway up the wheels of the cars. Tiles flew away or were broken, especially on the roof of the hospital. lasted a quarter of an hour, but the rains were really tropical, so it went up very quickly.” At 7:45 p.m., the storm finally calmed down above the Deux-Rives territory. “Everyone is barefoot in the neighborhood recovering garbage containers and a whole bunch of personal items washed away by the waters.”
In public gardens or at roundabouts like that of Lidl, there are countless tree trunks or large branches broken by the force of the winds.
