Violent Robbery in the Bronx Leaves 76-Year-Old Woman With Broken Hip and in Hospital – NBC New York

A 76-year-old woman was the victim of a violent robbery early Sunday morning that left her with a broken hip and in the hospital in the Bronx, New York City Police said.

According to what was reported by the authorities, the incident occurred around 12:30 am, in the area of Roberts Avenue and Hobart Avenuewhen the old woman was reached by the three suspects.

At that moment, one of them presumably pulled her hair, while the second ripped her bag, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground, the uniformed woman said. The suspect took the purse containing $50, a wallet, a debit card, and insurance cards.

The victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital with a fractured hip.
