The argument took place on the M15 bus at the corner of Whitehall Street and South Ferry around 12:15 p.m., authorities said.
In the audiovisual material, the 58-year-old driver is seen pulling out the suspect’s hair extensions. while trying to get him off the bus.
“Let me go!” the attacker shouts repeatedly. “You’re tearing my hair out.”
“You’re not going anywhere.”the driver responded and added that the police were on their way.
The MTA said in a statement that The passenger had become angry because the bus was stuck in traffic. vehicle and was “yelling and insulting the bus operator for not driving faster.”
“It’s crazy for someone to take out frustration over traffic congestion on an employee. of transportation that simply tries to get New Yorkers where they need to go,” said Senior Vice President of Transportation Frank Annicaro.
