The demonstrators will join Place Charles Hernu in Villeurbanne.

Tractors on their way to join the demonstration

The peasant confederation of the Rhône wishes to take part in the demonstration this afternoon by tractor.

“Tomorrow, we go down to Lyon and we join the tractor procession,” she announced last night. A desire that she has just reaffirmed this morning.

“We leave by tractor and snail operation to reach the Salvagny tower, then Lyon where we will be in the tractor procession”, is it written on the Facebook page.

The strikers, 80% of employees according to them, are accompanied by railway workers and high school students, in a musical atmosphere with an orchestra. Law enforcement is also on site.

“We came to support our comrades on strike in Feyzin. They are 80% strikers today. We are here to support them and help them to ensure an economic blockade”, explains Stéphanie, railway worker at Lyon Part- God.

The fear of traders located on the route of the demonstration

“We are in a bourgeois district so we know that it will stir up certain hatreds. We are between two banks which are also vectors of breakage”, explains Stephan Rojas, director of a brasserie in the 6th arrondissement, located on the route of the expression.

The boss has decided to close his doors at the end of the lunch service and tidy up his terrace before the passage of the procession, which is scheduled to leave at 1:30 p.m. from the Place du Maréchal-Lyautey.

“We will wait for the storm to pass,” he sums up.

The Lyon unions expect a lot from the decision of the Constitutional Council

If the unions are focused on the mobilization today, they expect a lot from the decision of the Constitutional Council on the pension reform.

“It is true that this is an important step […] We hope that they will show a lot of wisdom”, explains Sonia Paccaud, CFDT Lyon-Rhône manager at the microphone of BFM Lyon.

However, the continuation of the movement is already imagined like Maude Millier who anticipates the continuation of strikes in several sectors. “We are firmly convinced that it is through the strike that we will succeed in having this reform withdrawn”, affirms the deputy general secretary of the CGT in the Rhône.

The inter-union will meet Monday in the Rhône to determine the next actions against the pension reform.
