Violent Hockey Coaches Clash During Children’s Game in Moscow

The coaches of two children’s teams got into a fight during a hockey match in Moscow. The game took place on Saturday, December 16, at the Arktika sports complex.

During the second period, the coach of the Moscow team “Wings of the Soviets” Nikolai Platonov attacked the coach of the “Red Machine” from the Moscow region Nikita Illarionov. Soon the fight turned into a beating – Platonov knocked down his opponent and began methodically beating him.

“The game was going on, we were leading,” told beaten coach in an interview with the website of the Match TV channel. — And during the match the referee did not see the moment and did not whistle. I told him: “Let’s take a closer look.” After which the Wings coach replied: “First, bring 12 people to the match, then you will say something.” I said: “If something doesn’t suit you, go to your club and complain there.” As a result, the Wings coach began to approach me. He asked: “Why are you such a greyhound?” I replied, “What happened?” And after that I got a hook from him, fell and received about 10-15 blows to the head and neck area, covered myself with my hand. I realized that there were children around.

It was possible to separate the fighters only with the help of referees. The game ultimately ended in victory for the Moscow team. Moreover, the beaten coach remained with the team until the final siren and only after that went to the emergency room.

As Nikita Illarionov added, his head, arm and ribs hurt. According to him, after the game the offender tried to come up and apologize, but he was not allowed to approach him.
