On site, the first rescue groups were confronted with a fire which spread to part of the offices which have around 1000 m2 on one level.
To stop the flames, firefighters used two foam throwing machines. “These devices were used due to the presence of a large quantity of solvents in the disaster area,” said an officer from the departmental fire and rescue service.
The alert was given at 9:23 p.m. Three people who were in the premises were able to leave the offices where the flames were progressing before the firefighters intervened. Six engines and fifteen firefighters were engaged in this intervention which was still underway at 11 p.m.
More than 20 people work in this company specializing in biotechnology research and development.
