Dozens of Cruzeiro fans invaded the Durival de Britto pitch, this Saturday (11), after the team conceded a goal from Coritiba in the final stretch of the match valid for the 34th round of the Brazilian Championship.
There was still a confrontation with the opposing fans, who also invaded the playing field. The match was stopped and police had to intervene to try to end the confusion.
Players from both teams had to run to the stadium’s changing rooms. Owner of 90% of the celestial club’s SAF, Ronaldo Fenômeno was in one of the boxes and followed the widespread fight.
After the police entered the field, the fans who invaded the playing field were moved to the outside of the stadium. There are reports of clashes in the streets near Durival de Britto.

As soon as Coritiba opened the scoring, in the final minutes of the game, dozens of Cruzeiro fans invaded the stadium’s pitch. From this moment on, fans of the home club were also able to enter the playing field.
The two groups entered into a general confrontation, which was only stopped after the police managed to enter the field. Rubber bullets and stun bombs were used.
The Cruzeiro and Coritiba fans are historically rivals. The main organization of the celestial club is allied with the groups linked to Athletico-PR, just as those organized by Atlético are allied with Coritiba fans.
