Violent celebration of Thanksgiving Day; shootings take over NYC – Telemundo New York (47)

The NYPD reported three shootings on Thanksgiving night and early Friday morning in the Bronx and Brooklyn. One of the injured is in critical condition.

Police said the most recent shooting occurred at 4:14 a.m. Friday, when a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg during a dispute between four men at 2935 Atlantic Ave., in East New York, Brooklyn.

He was taken in a private vehicle to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he is in stable condition, police said.

Later, detectives from Barracks 75 detained four men in connection with the shooting; the charges against him are pending. Police collected several spent cartridges at the scene of the shooting.

On Thursday at 6:27 pm, a 28-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and leg outside 2381 Sterling Place in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Paramedics rushed him to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.

Detectives from Barracks 77 say the victim, despite being conscious on the way to the hospital, “did not cooperate” with the investigation. A woman was also injured in the incident, but no further information about her was released.

On Thanksgiving night at 11:15 pm, a 25-year-old man was shot in the groin at the corner of West 162nd Street and Anderson Avenue in the Highbridge section of the Bronx, this after an argument. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital. His condition is reported stable.

Castell 44 detectives have not yet released a description of the assailant in this case, although the investigation continues.
