According to the New York Police report, it occurred at 12:04 in the afternoon, on the platform located at 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue, Manhattan. The victim was pushed against the E train.
The woman suffered head trauma due to the blow, and had to be taken to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Authorities have made no arrests so far and the investigation is ongoing.
Unlike the teenager who was run over and killed as a result of an accident, what happened this Wednesday appears to be an assault. However, the police have not found any suspects.
