Pioneers shared on social media a video clip of unknown persons attacking cars and offices with sticks and stones in a tourist village in Sokhna, south of Suez, accompanied by comments accusing day trip coordinators of being behind the attack on the village.

In this context, the owners of chalets in the village said that they were surprised by these people’s attack on the village, after the village administration’s decision to ban day trips, which harasses the owners and deprives them of enjoying spending the weekend, as they described it.

The owners wrote a report to prove the incident of the attack, while the security services in Suez intensified their efforts to arrest the attackers in the village and take legal measures against them, as surveillance cameras, as well as the owners’ phone cameras, monitored them while smashing a number of cars and trying to damage the facade of the village and the administrative offices inside it, after preventing them from entering. The owners also said that the police moved to the village and took control of the situation. Eyewitnesses were discussed about what happened, as they accused the one-day trip brokers of being behind the incident. The security leaders in Suez assigned the police to identify the attackers in the village and arrest them.

The owners added that they met with officials of the Suez Tourism Development Authority and complained that they were being harassed by vacationers coming to the village on one-day trips. A decision was issued to prevent one-day trips from entering the village in response to the owners, and when the decision was implemented today, the attack occurred.
