Cisauk AKP Police Chief Dhady Arsya revealed a summary of the alleged attack by residents on a group of students who were holding a Rosary prayer service in Serpong, South Tangerang.
Dhady said that on Sunday evening (5/5) at around 21.00 WIB, there were Christians who were praying the Rosary.
“Finally, local people and the RT reminded us to disperse because it was already evening, but it turned out that they had not dispersed yet,” said Dhady when met at the Babakan Town Office , Setu District, South Tangerang City , Monday (6/5).

Dhady said the situation became heated. Chaos is inevitable until someone uses violence.
“Eventually there was some commotion, so there was commotion. The residents broke, and those who intervened were beaten,” he continued.
Dhady explained that this incident was handled by the South Tangerang Police. He admitted that there were female students who were injured in the incident.
“There was also a woman who was scratched. We have to confirm if it was a serious injury or another scratch. That is still being investigated,” explained Dhady.
“There are small scratches. Later the police and the investigators will see what the post-mortem will be like,” he said.
Student identification
The student representative, Legy, said that the prayer work first took place with 15 people participating. Before the prayer work was completed, the head of the local RT came to the place and said harsh words.
“We finished praying, the RT came, he said ‘son of galla, dog, fool, don’t worship here’,” said Legy when met in Babakan Village, Setu District, South Tangerang City, on Monday (6 /5).
The arrival of the RT Head was accompanied by a large number of residents. Legy said that the head of RT asked them to pray in the church.
“Mr. RT came first. He spoke so loud. Loud, a lot of people came then. People stopped on motorcycles,” said Legy.
At the same time, the head of RW 002 Marat said that until now there have been complaints from residents to the head of RT regarding student activities there. Until then the CEO of the RT took action.
In addition, Marat said that his residents were first beaten when they attacked a group of students. This is based on residents’ admissions. Marat himself was present at the scene of the crime when the dispute occurred.
“I came there, ‘That’s it, that’s it, don’t be emotional’. ‘It’s not like that, because I was beaten by the RW. I was beaten’,” said Marat when he met at the City Office Babakan, Setu District, South Tangerang City, Monday (6/5).
Separately, the Head of the South Tangerang City Ministry of Religion Office, Dedi Mahfudin, revealed that the mediation process between residents and students was done on Monday (6/5) this morning.
Dedi said the mediation resulted in all parties agreeing and forgiving each other.
“Thank God, but everything is ready, I got the information. It is mediated. Ilah has been done. Everyone forgives each other,” Dedi told CNNIndonesia.com , Monday.
“And there is a guarantee that the students who live there will be kept safe,” he said.
Dedi explained that FKUB, community leaders, the police and the Head of the Banten Regional Office at the Ministry of Religion were present at the mediation. He made sure the problem was dealt with and did not drag on.
“But everyone has accepted it. They have forgiven each other. This is the provisional information I received,” he said.
