Two police officers were hospitalized after being attacked by a young couple early Sunday morning in Evansville, United States.
According to a police report, on December 17, Evansville police officers responded to a report of a domestic battery.
Arriving on scene, officers found two people, an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, who police believe are half-siblings involved in a romantic relationship.
According to initial reports, the man hit the woman before police arrived.
Officers attempted to place the man under arrest, but police said he attacked the officers. The police report states that the man repeatedly “struck and manhandled officers while physically resisting arrest.”
The woman then joined her half-brother and boyfriend to help him.
According to the police report, she kicked and injured two officers. Officers said the woman was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
At one point, the male suspect can be seen violently kicking a police officer, who then struggles to get up.
Police said one officer was hospitalized with a fractured orbital bone, loss of vision in one eye and swelling behind the eye socket.
