West Kutai Regent FX Yapan said the case ended peacefully and was resolved amicably. “Make a peace agreement and resolve it amicably, and make a written letter of agreement,” said FX Yapan in a press conference to media crew, Thursday (21/12/2023).
As per the video circulating, the act of abuse was triggered by a group of cars from the Regent of Kubar, FX Yapan, who were not given way by a group of tank trucks carrying Crude Palm Oil or palm CPO. The incident occurred in the Kinong area, Damai District, West Kutai, Wednesday (20/12/2023) afternoon.
“At that time I was at the scene of the incident, I also regret the act of violence. “However, I also highlight the actions of a group of palm oil truck drivers who are considered reckless and could endanger other road users,” added Yapan accompanied by his aide and Deputy Regent H Edyanto Arkan.
For this reason, the Regent of FX Yapan apologized because his aide’s actions were recorded by residents’ cameras and went viral on social media. “On behalf of myself, my family, the government and on behalf of my aides, I apologize for something that should not have happened,” added Yapan ending the press conference to media crew in Sendawar.
