Youths attacked and beat a man on private property in the Pleven village of Opanec, the police said.
The crime took place in the morning hours of September 9. According to the 44-year-old victim, around 4:00 a.m. strangers broke the front door and entered the house.
They beat him with wooden slats, fists and stones. The assailants fled. The man was examined by a doctor.
After an investigation, five perpetrators were detained – minors – aged 13, 14, 15 and two aged 17.
The prosecutor’s office has been notified of the case.
