On September 1, 2023, a 39-year-old father made several heart attacks after being attacked in the stands of the Beaujoire stadium by supporters of FC Nantes during the reception of Olympique de Marseille.

The investigation opened by the prosecution “made it possible to identify and locate three individuals, who were placed in police custody” this Thursday, January 11, 2024, Renaud Gaudeul announced in the evening, confirming information from West France.

These are three men aged 21, 49 and 56, professionally employed and not known to the judicial services.

The prosecution requested placement under judicial supervision

The individuals, referred to the prosecution immediately, will be judged Monday January 22 before the criminal court “counts of violence in a sports venue aggravated by several circumstances, for having been committed in a meeting, partly with a weapon by destination and partly against a minor aged under 15”, added the magistrate.

Placement under judicial supervision “comprising in particular the ban on entering a sports venue” was requested by the prosecution. The decisions of the liberty and detention judge were expected late Thursday evening.
