The Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, spoke about the shooting that happened near where his rival, Republican Donald Trump, was playing golf this Sunday afternoon, September 15.
Through a message on her
“I have been told that shots were fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida. I’m glad you’re safe. “Violence has no place in America,” Harris wrote in her post.
The events that took place outside the golf course where Trump was in Florida happened when the police shot an armed suspect, without being able to get close to the current candidate, and he remained unharmed.
“President Trump is safe after the shooting that happened nearby. There is no further information at this time,” said Steven Cheung, director of communications for the Trump campaign, in a brief text released to the media at the time.

The event took place near the Trump International golf club, located in West Palm Beach, Florida, about five miles inland from Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s official residence.
Immediately after the incident, the son of the former president, Donald Trump Junior, responded on the X social network, where he mentioned that a suspect related to the incident had been arrested.
For his part, The New York Postciting police sources, that the shooting occurred when Secret Service agents opened fire on a man who appeared to be carrying a gun while the former president was on the golf course , killing him instantly.
The incident comes two months after Trump survived an attack at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, where he suffered only a graze wound in his ear from a bullet.
