Jakarta

Palestinian Muslims worship during the start of Ramadan at the Mosque Al-Aqsa marked by incidents of violence by Israel. Israel also received criticism due to this incident.

For your information, Israel has declared war which it claims is to avenge the Hamas attack on their territory on October 7 2023. The Hamas attack killed 1,200 people in Israel.

Israel then carried out a massive attack on Gaza under the pretext of destroying Hamas. The attack has left more than 31 thousand people dead, the majority of whom are children and women.

Israeli attacks also destroyed various facilities ranging from residents’ houses, hospitals, mosques, churches to schools. Millions of residents were displaced due to the war.

The ceasefire that had been discussed ahead of Ramadan never materialized. Gaza residents also carry out their worship in the month of Ramadan with sadness. Sad stories were also experienced by Palestinians who wanted to pray Tarawih at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem. They were beaten by Israeli police when they were about to enter Al-Aqsa.

Reported by Anadolu Agency and The Times of Israel, Tuesday (12/3/2024), based on eyewitness testimony, Israeli police only allow women and men over the age of 40 to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
