The last few weeks have seen an increase in acts of violence and intimidation targeting doctors, pharmacists, other health professionals, and staff in establishments or vaccination centers.
While everywhere in France the Covid 19 epidemic is accelerating alarmingly and health professionals remain mobilized in the service of the French, the Order of Physicians strongly condemns these acts of violence and intimidation.
He recalls that, for over a year, all these professionals have been fully engaged and have been supporting our health system at arm’s length since the start of the health crisis. Nothing can justify their being attacked today, whereas they were applauded a year ago for their commitment to care and protect their fellow citizens.
The Order of Physicians hopes that the perpetrators of such facts will be severely punished by the authorities.
But more than anything, the Order of Physicians wishes to express its support for the doctors, pharmacists and all these professionals attacked and threatened, and to pay tribute to their commitment throughout this unprecedented crisis.
