The 43-year-old worker spent almost a day without food or water in the heat in a metal dryer for fruits, which was inside the granary, outside covered with grain. The man could only sit there due to the fact that the room was filled with metal shelves for drying fruits.
The police freed the worker by shoveling grain from the passage to the door of a metal bunker with a dryer inside.
The victim told police that he was locked up in a dryer by a farmer for whom he unofficially worked as a laborer. The entrepreneur thus decided to punish the employee who, in his opinion, had badly repaired the tractor. The man did not receive any money for his work.
Such actions of a 58-year-old businessman are qualified as illegal imprisonment of a person, which was accompanied by the infliction of physical suffering on him (part 2 of article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Now he faces up to five years in prison.
