215,198 different gift cards were not used. On average, NOK 321 remains on gift cards, which is a huge sum in total.

The data shown refer to the last financial year. Unused gift cards that exceed the validity date are finally recognized as receipts by Vinmonopolet. In 2021, Vinmonopolet received NOK 3.8 million in revenue as a result of unused gift certificates, NT24 writes.
A Vinmonopolet gift card is valid for three years from the date of purchase.
