Rio de Janeiro –
Vinicius Junior I want to be able to survive in Real Madrid until retirement. However, a promise to his father made it difficult for this to come true.
Vinicius is enjoying his career with Madrid because his performance is getting better every season. In this season alone, Vinicius has scored three goals and one assist in seven matches.
Since joining Madrid in 2018, Vinicius has scored 62 goals and 65 assists from 222 appearances. He also won two LaLiga, one Copa del Rey and one Champions League.
Karim Benzema’s departure makes Vinicius’ role in Madrid’s attack line even more vital. It is natural that Madrid does not want to lose the player born in 2000.
Management has prepared a new contract for Vinicius, whose stay expires at the end of this season. They are also ready to increase the Brazilian player’s salary to up to 300 thousand euros per week.
At only 23 years old, Vinicius still has a long career and could become Madrid’s future star. However, that doesn’t mean Vinicius will retire there.
Because, Vinicius’ desire to hang up his boots as a Madrid player was hindered by a promise to his father to return to Brazil and strengthen Flamengo once again, before his career ended.
“I could have stayed here throughout my career, but my true club is Flamengo. I promised my father that I would return there one day, I have to keep that promise,” said Vinicius to France Football.
“I’m happy with my life now, and it’s going well for my family too. When the people closest to me are out and about, they’re recognized and wished well. Slowly, I’m finding life, emotions and attachments. “
Vinicius Junior is indeed a product of the Flamengo academy who has 10 goals and four assists from 49 matches.
