It’s a nightmare season for Thomas Tuchel’s team. They lost the championship after 11 consecutive seasons and were knocked out of the cup early against a lower league opponent, but found little solace in the Champions League. They drew 1:0 against Lazio in the round of 16 and passed Arsenal with a big win in the quarter-finals.
The Whites, on the other hand, are close to securing the championship in Spain after recording a great 2:3 over Barcelona in the Clasico. They reached the semi-finals after beating Manchester City, the champion from last season, on penalties, but now they will face another super team and the road to the most important trophy will not be easy.

The last meeting between the teams was in the semi-finals of the 2017/18 season. Marcelo and Marco Asensio erased Yushua Kimmich’s lead in the first leg, while the return leg at the Santiago Bernabéu ended 2:2 and Real went on to the final, where they beat Liverpool and won the title. How will the meeting of the giants end this time?
