This is the first culmination of an atypical career. After obtaining his BTS landscape work, the basketball player of the Saint-Cricq – Brassempouy agreement, then of the Cadets de Chalosse dropped his studies at the age of twenty, to return to working life. Until the retirement of his “faithful neighbor Dédé”, he perfected his knowledge and practices with him. The desire to take over the business is there, but it is not yet the time.
Tiler and artist
After five years of working in a Saint-Séverine company, Vincent Barreau finally took the plunge. He fitted out two commercial spaces on the ground floor of the Maison Montauzé, acquired and renovated on its two floors, three years earlier. A showroom office with exhibition of tiling models, allows the reception of customers, while the second space is devoted to its deposit workshop. “It is true that this type of activity in the city center is restrictive, for example when unloading pallets of materials. On the other hand, for visibility, it’s very interesting,” he acknowledges.
The young entrepreneur defines himself first and foremost as a “carrélist”, a portmanteau of tiler and artist because the creative fiber always transpires in his mind. For the time being, on the territory of Chalosse, it offers small masonry and tiling work with, as a result, expert advice on renovation or project design. Thanks to his experience and his desire to move forward, he intends to develop his masonry business and make it evolve, always keeping this taste for creativity.
