Vinayak’s portrayal of the villain Varman in Jailer garnered much attention. There were reports that he was paid Rs 35 lakh to play this character. But Vinayakan himself has said that he got three times that amount. In an interview given to an online media, he spoke openly about this matter.
Vinayakan said that those spreading the wrong number have bad intentions and are part of trying to establish that he is not worth the big bucks. The actor added that they treated him very well during the shoot along with paying him a huge amount of money.
The film was released on August 9 and brought people to more theaters through word of mouth publicity. It is reported that Jailer’s final box office collection is 650 crores.
The fans are also waiting for the film where Mathew, Narasimha and Muthuvel Pandyan will come together. It is also said that the makers have handed over the advance amount for the second part of the film to director Nelson.
