Noale –
Maverick Vinales just parted from Yamaha, but reportedly he will be back racing in the rest of the season MotoGP 2021, but together Aprilia.
Vinales has just formalized a partnership with Aprilia this month, and is planning to race with the Italian manufacturer from MotoGP 2022, while he completes his contract with Yamaha until the end of this season.
However, Vinales was eventually suspended by Yamaha for his actions which were deemed to have deliberately damaged the motorcycle engine at the Styria MotoGP, as a result of frustration during the race. As a result of that case, Yamaha decided to release it sooner, in the middle of the current season.
Now, with status Vinales unemployed, Aprilia is working to get him back into the paddock this season as a full-time driver, as reported by Autosport who interviewed a number of sources close to Aprilia.
The desire for Vinales to continue the season came from Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola. This is so that he can find out immediately what can be expected from the Spanish rider while defending Aprilia.
Vinales is predicted to be at the Aragon MotoGP at the earliest next month, because preparations for the British MotoGP are too tight and he still has to test the bike first.
There has been no official confirmation regarding this news from the team management, but if it is true, Vinales is believed to be replacing Lorenzo Savadori, who was recruited from the start. Aprilia as a substitute for Andrea Iannone who was caught in a doping case.
Moreover, Vinales indeed will fill Savadori’s slot in MotoGP 2022, to duet with Aleix Espargaro. With the emergence of this news, the driver change could have happened more quickly.
