Vinales Crash, MotoGP Styria 2020 temporarily suspended: Okezone Sports

SPIELBERG – The 2020 Styria MotoGP at the Red Bull Ring Circuit had to be temporarily suspended because of the Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Maverick Vinales, had an accident. Fortunately, in this accident no other racers were involved.

This accident occurred when Vinales was about to enter the first corner. The racer nicknamed The Top Gun tried to turn his motorbike. However, the iron horse refused to turn.

As a result, Vinales fell from his racing motorbike. Luckily there were no other drivers who drove right behind Vinales, so The Top Gun was not hit. Meanwhile, Vinales’ motorbike drove straight until it hit the barrier and caught fire.

As a result of this incident, the red flag was raised. The reason is, the stewards will clear the track. It is feared that the oil splattered on the track due to the Vinales incident endangers the other drivers.

Therefore, at this time the racers were returning to the pits until the stewards had finished their job of cleaning the track. This is the second time the red flag has been raised. In last week’s race at the same circuit, the red flag was also raised because Johann Zarco and Franco Morbidelli were involved in an accident.
