“There are times when receiving a congratulations from yourself is just as pleasant as from others,” Vilnis ķirsis writes on social networking site X, adding a heart emoticon to his post.
To the post, he added a photo showing the baby’s legs dressed in brown socks and blue-black pants, the publication “My child” and a congratulation to the young man from Riga with the handwritten signature of Riga mayor Vilnius Ķirš.
Jauns.lv already reported that an addition is expected in the ħirši family – the mayor’s spouse attended the November 18 festive concert, obviously expecting her mother.
Last year, Vilnis Ķirsis, at that time still the deputy chairman of the Riga City Council, became a father for the first time at the age of 42. On September 27, Kristaps, the first-born son of anesthesiologist and reanimatologist Elīna Ķirse and Viļnia Ķirš, was born in the Riga Maternity Hospital.
