Around 11 p.m., while BAC agents were patrolling near rue du Canal, a man who was about to get into a car parked in a parking lot suddenly turned back in sight of the officials. They approached the car to discover a bag left in the passenger compartment. Inside, strips of cannabis resin were visible.
The suspect then fled on foot before falling to the ground. This is how he was arrested with difficulty, since the police received projectiles during the arrest, probably thrown from a nearby building. Quickly, the personnel deployed for this intervention left the area to bring the suspect and his vehicle back to the station.
According to our information, a total of 4.5 kilos of cannabis resin was discovered during the search of the seized Renault Clio. The suspected dealer, aged 20 and from Sudan, was taken into police custody. An investigation is open to determine the extent of the trafficking.
