The children of Asvel athletics ran on Wednesday 30 November for the Prader-Willi France association, alongside Joséphine, this girl from Villeurbanise with Prader-Willi syndrome and heroine of the book series The Adventures of Piwi Heart. This race was held as part of “Running for Prader-Willi Syndrome”.
“3 km during which you think about the Prader-Willi syndrome, about those who carry it and their loved ones, who know, who feel that you are there with them and thanks to you you can recharge your energy and courage for the days, weeks and months to come,” explains Marion Curtillet, Joséphine’s mother.
Even the little champion participates in her own way: this year the 3 km for her will be divided into four stages of 750 metres. “Beyond ‘sporting prowess’, Piwi Cœur fills the roles that suit him so well: that of link between all who know him, many of whom mobilize for the 3km; as a means of raising awareness of the disease, disability, with those who do not know, such as the boys of ASVEL athletics; and information transmitter, introducing this year the APA (Adapted Physical Activity) equipment of the HFME in Bron, without equivalent in all of France.”
