The theme of European Heritage Days this year is “Heritage and education: learning for life”. Message heard at the Saint-André abbey where we intend to give audience to all the proper senses of Man and of life. On the program: music, poetry, prints and of course heritage.

Musical reading under the vaults. The Violoncell’Emois association is organizing readings at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. On Saturday, rendezvous for a philosophical and poetic wandering around the work of François Cheng “From the soul” with the cello of Bernard Delire and the voices of Amandine Pastré and Bertrand Hayart. On Sunday, the discovery continues around the work of Elsa Koeberlé set to music by the harp of Élodie Baile and the cello of Bernard Delire. Understand the black way. Until November 1, Judith Rothchild and her companion, Mark Lintott, exhibit at the Abbey. She is the author of many prints on fruits, vegetables and flowers in the garden created using the mezzotint technique. She will show it to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 12 noon. The 2 to 5 p.m. slot is reserved for meeting the artists. Price: free entertainment included in the entrance fee to the gardens.

Visit of the remarkable garden. The gardener Olivier Ricomini will take visitors to the remarkable garden of the abbey. He will tell its rich history, decipher its arrangements of plans and flowerbeds, talk about the genesis of the new botanical path and the Mediterranean species that inhabit it. Dive into the salons of the abbey palace.
