It’s summer. The heat wave has left its heavy screed on the Paris region. In Villejuif, residents are sweating and taking refuge in the refrigerated shelves of supermarkets to soothe their heat-stricken bodies. Yet, a few meters from their homes, there are these empty schools. The students are on vacation. The shaded courtyards are deserted when they could accommodate Villejuifois and offer them a few hours of respite in a soothing setting. Especially since vegetated and debited oasis courtyards are gradually emerging there.
