Filip Jörgensen has a past as a youth player in Malmö FF. This year he has become Villarreal’s first choice in the goalkeeper position.

On Friday, he made his second straight start in the league game and then he nailed it again away to Mallorca.

But the 21-year-old is, after all, not a new rising star on his way up to the Swedish national team. Although he was born in Lomma, he has chosen to represent Denmark at national team level.

– I simply think that it is a better national team and the style of play suits me better – it is more international, Jörgensen has previously told Tipsbladet.

Villarreal won the match 1-0 after a goal by Gerard Moreno.
