Alex Baena was allegedly assaulted by a Real Madrid player after Saturday’s game. The Villarreal player has reported the matter to the police.
“Alex Baena was attacked when he was on his way to the team bus after the match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu,” writes Villarreal on his website.
“In light of the situation, the player has chosen to report the assailant to the national police,” reads the message from Villarreal.
According to several Spanish media, it concerns Federico Valverde, and that he is said to have been waiting for him at Villarreal’s team bus after the match.
