Villages north of Athens evacuated due to forest fires | Abroad

On the island of Evia, where many tourists go, people were taken from the beaches. A forest fire had burned down a forest with pine trees, after which several villages were in danger.

Nine people have been taken to hospitals in Athens with severe burns. Two volunteer firefighters are in the emergency room.
