Villa Lidköping’s golden success is complete.
Christoffer Edlund decided the SC final against Västerås in extra time. (7–6).

The drama was total in the men’s SM final. Villa Lidköping led 6–5 in the final minutes, but incurred two expulsions.
Västerås lined up chances to equalize and had a ball on the goal line.
It took until the last second before the goal came – when Viktor Spångberg struck and took the final to extra time.
– It is an absolutely incredible finish. It’s among the craziest things I’ve seen, says commentator Chris Härenstam.

The hero: “The match of my life”
Once there, Villa Lidköping’s big star Christoffer Edlund became a hero.
He scored his fourth goal of the match – and 70th (!) of the season – securing Villa Lidköping’s third ever gold (2019, 2021, 2024).
– This was the match of my life. We are so enormously strong. Then we go for a goal in the final seconds, the sickest thing I’ve seen in our life. But this time it was our turn. I am so very happy, says Edlund in SVT.
Earlier on Saturday, Villa Lidköping’s ladies became Swedish champions. Västerås was also defeated there (7–4).
