The Villa del Cine Festival in its ninth edition baptized “Cradle of Offerings”, calls on filmmakers to register, until July 31, their feature length and short film works to be part of the Official Selection. The invitation is for all those productions that have been completed between 2021 and July of this year.
National First Opera, International First Opera and Work In Progress, are the categories in which feature films may be registered.
The short films For their part, they may be registered in any of the 7 existing categories: National, InternationalVirtual Reality, Passionate, School, Music Video, and the novelty in 2023, Filminuto with Cell Phones, a category that seeks to reward and promote these formats, which are undoubtedly here to stay.
Registration will be open through the official website of the festival www.villadelcine.com or using allied platforms such as FestHome, FilmFreeWay, MoviBeta or ClickForFestivals.
The festival, which was born with the conviction of promoting the cinema of new filmmakers and seeking to be a platform to celebrate the seventh art, will be held between September 27 and October 1 in Villa de Leyva (Boyacá), with Spain as guest country and who will premiere one of its participating films in the X Spanish Film Showcase.
“This year at the Villa del Cine Festival there are many novelties, one of them is that we have extended the days in which this film festival will take place, We have gone from four to five days of the festival with the sole purpose of expanding the contents and allowing attendees to enjoy many more films and more activities, without a doubt a great challenge that commits us enormously not only with the public, the participants, the allies and the community, but also with the purpose of continuing to strengthen our identity and cultural heritage”, affirms Julián Díaz, artistic director of Villa del Cine.
In this edition, in addition to cinema, attendees will be able to enjoy more than 20 activities totally free, including launches, workshops, masterclasses, forums, screenings and interviews with filmmakers.
