Programming
Saturday will start at 10:00 am, in the church square, with a fun workshop to turn household waste into jewellery. Those who take part will also be able to paint a four meter high vine and write wishes on flowers which will then be included in an installation which will form part of the exhibition at the other Abadia Seven venue. The only thing you need to take part in is an old (but clean) cotton t-shirt.
Next, at 12:00 pm in the same square, the Vilafranca poet Ruth Sancho Huerga will offer a performance to raise awareness in a very fun way among the public about the problems caused by ‘fast fashion’ ‘, impulse buying of everyday clothes. And throw. A while later, at 4:00 pm on El Cid Street, a workshop on land art, aims to decorate the earth with natural materials. And the event will end with the premiere of the exhibition La Deessa de les Deixelles (Goddess of the Waste) by the artist Tania Traver.
The group hopes that, despite their unique form of entertainment, these activities will help raise awareness among participants and spectators about the “waste we create in our lives” everyday,” and makes them reflect on our relationship with planet Earth. “They are small actions within everyone’s reach that can mean a lot to change.”
