After 0-4 against Molde last weekend, there was only one point lost against Odd for the siddis. This means that Viking and Bodø/Glimt have points (52), before Glimt meets Molde Sunday.
Viking captain Zlatko Tripic had to endure questions about the golden match after the match:
– Will you be disappointed if it is silver this year?
– No. It is far too early to answer. Our level of ambition was to take a European place. We’re still up there. There are many matches left, says Tripic to TV 2.

It looked very bright for the Vikings when Harald Nilsen Tangen strolled in 1-0 after four minutes played.
Unfortunately for the dark blues – and the 1,000 away supporters at Skagerak Arena – the cheers died down 20 minutes later:
From the dead line, Mikael Norø Ingebrigtsen tried to find Zakaria Mugeese – but instead hit Viking defender Sondre Langås. The stopper’s clearance ended up in his own net.
– For me, it’s absolutely awesome. It’s hard to be the one who scores the own goal, says Langås to TV 2.

Viking pressed on in the second half and created several big chances.
Lars-Jørgen Salvesen got the very biggest one, but Odd goalkeeper Per Kristian Bråtveit waited with a fairy preparation.
1-1 in Skien means that both Viking and Bodø/Glimt have 52 points, but Glimt has played one game less and is ahead on goal difference.
Glimt meets Molde on Sunday evening. With a win, the Norwegians will be three points ahead of the Vikings with six league rounds remaining.
The Vikings’ next league match is at home against third-placed Tromsø on 22 October. Now a national team break awaits:
– We will use the break well. We will get some players back from injury and get them fit, and then we will be ready for the last six games, says Viking coach Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim to TV 2.
