Ehm, as someone who actually port games.. Not entirely true, let alone that it is a game that is still actively developing and therefore also needs updates, that will require almost direct cooperation.
(Especially) ports from PC to consoles are annoying, each console has special requirements that need to be met and handling for certain things. It’s (unfortunately) not just a switch.. “even” not in an engine like Unity, since Unity does almost nothing for you regarding platform specific things, you can reinvent your save system, your achievements, and sometimes even your input handling.
Along the way you still have to deal with user accounts and the whole hassle around it, and since this game can also be online, there is a laundry list of things to add.
