Vijay’s Leo ‘Sweeps’ Kerala Box Office In ten days, the film entered the fifty crore club in Kerala. Leo also became the first film to cross 50 crores in Kerala the fastest. ‘Leo’ has surpassed KGF2’s record of 50 crores in 11 days in Kerala. ‘Leo’ also surpassed the Kerala collection of Lokesh Kanagaraj-Kamal Haasan film Vikram.
Meanwhile, the film is approaching 500 crores in global collections. The makers had informed that the film has already earned more than Rs 461 crore.
135 crore has been disbursed so far from Tamil Nadu. 50 crore from Kerala, 30 crore from Andhra Pradesh, 31 crore from Karnataka, 18 crore from Rest of India and 200 crore from overseas.
The first day worldwide gross collection of the film was Rs 148.5 crore. The official figure has been released by the producers, Seven Screen Studios. With this, Leo topped the first day collection among Indian films released in 2023. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan and Pathan have been the biggest hits of the year so far. Pathan collected 106 crores and Jawan 129 crores on the first day. Leo broke this record.
Lokesh-Vijay’s Leo has achieved a record at the Kerala box office as well. The film collected 12 crores gross collection on its first day, breaking the records of all other foreign language films so far. KGF 2, which earned 7.25 crores, Odiyan, which earned 6.76 crores, and Vijay’s own Beast, which earned 6.6 crores, are the records of the past.
Vijay is the first Indian actor to collect 10 crores on the first day from four states – Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Kerala 12 crores, Karnataka 13 crores, Andhra Pradesh 14 crores.
The film collected 35 crores from Tamil Nadu on its first day. This Lokesh Kanagaraj movie is getting huge success with good collection globally. The film is getting a huge response in foreign countries as well. The film received 3700 screenings in Kerala on its release day, including 313 late night shows. It was released in 655 screens in Kerala.
Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas is coming to Leo as Vijay’s son while Madonna is playing an interesting role opposite Sebastian Vijay. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Leo also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Myshkin, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy, Janani, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Babu Antony.
