The Regional Health Agency confirms this Tuesday, August 11. The incidence rate, that is to say the number of positive cases linked to the appearance of epidemic foci, is increasing in Nouvelle-Aquitaine over the week of August 3 to 9. This is also the case for the activity of SOS Médecins compared to previous weeks.
Consequently, the Gironde remains classified in moderate vulnerability and the other departments are in limited vulnerability with vigilance in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and in the Lot-et-Garonne.
12 clusters
The region currently has 12 epidemic foci (i.e. 5 more than August 7), including one in an Ehpad in Bordeaux with 21 identified cases. The Gironde alone has 6 clusters. Charente-Maritime, Dordogne and Pyrénées-Atlantiques each have two.
