In the 60s, 70s & 80s, Van Hemert left a big mark on Dutch pop with classic hits such as The Life I Live (Q65), Hair (Zen) and How Do You Do by Mouth & MacNeal, to name just a few. . Van Hemert himself brought the latter duo together and he celebrated world successes with Willem Duyn (Mouth) and Sjoukje van ‘t Spijker (MacNeal). Another group he created also did well across borders and we are of course talking about Luv’ with Patty, Marga & José. Van Hemert was not only a producer, he could also sing. It is his voice that we hear prominently on the 60s cult hit Mother No-Head by Group 1850.
