Viewers see Blind Married’s Thomas and Karlien grow in their relationship: “Consciously I didn’t want to fall head over heels in love”

“I’m not an average person: I don’t have a driver’s license, I don’t drink alcohol and I sleep with an apnea mask. I understand that the viewer has a reaction to it: ‘Wow, that’s strange.’ But I wanted to show myself as I am,” Thomas says openly.

Thomas had prepared himself in advance for a gentle approach to allow his relationship with Karlien to grow quietly

His relationship with Karlien seemed very difficult at first. Karlien also pointed out that Thomas is not really her type, which she usually is. But she opened herself completely to the test.

Tómas had planned several things in advance and he did not deviate from them during the program. The experts also advised him not to stress or strain himself. In the end, their relationship seems to be closer and slower.

“Consciously I didn’t want to fall head over heels in love and I wanted to start this adventure in a relaxed way,” Thomas tells TV-Family. “When we lived together, we consciously made time for each other. The focus shifted to quality times with both of us. That has brought us closer together.”
