It’s a classic story: something terrible has happened in their life, they are unemployed and almost bankrupt. Despite the fact that they are completely in financial dire straits, Ruud still needs an expensive dormer window. You get it: the ingredients for a financial disaster. “You don’t realize what problems you are in”, auxiliary millionaire Kris confronts the couple with the facts. There is a lot of work to be done here.
Ruud and Anoesjka have been in a deep trough since 2008. Their two-year-old son Justin died in their swimming pool, after which their world collapsed. But despite this personal drama, something has to be done quickly. If not, the couple will be out on the street within four months.

Because Ruud has trouble with being a good father figure, Kris invites him home with him and his son. Kris can’t believe his ears when he hears Ruud speak. “Do more with my children? No, I don’t have to. It’s not in me to be so exuberant with my children.” Kris tries to get through to him, but he doesn’t get very far.
“I have nothing to do with young children”, Ruud says honestly. “You have two children at home and you say: I have nothing to do with my children. That is impossible, is it? They don’t deserve that, do you? You don’t give them that?” Kris asks perplexed. “I can’t imagine you as a father saying that you have no relationship with your children. I don’t believe it.”
Justin’s death has done a lot to Ruud, so he says he shields and protects himself. The viewers who whiter at home from the couch do not hide their opinion.
