Viewer thinks he has spotted a striking blunder in new Netflix film, but is that really the case?

Is Adam McKay been sloppy editing his newly released Netflix movie Don’t Look Up or is there something else going on? An attentive viewer has found a striking shot in the film, to which McKay has personally commented.

Don’t Look Up was admitted in the midst of the corona pandemic. There were therefore all kinds of measures on the set, including a strict testing policy and a duty to wear a mask if possible.

TikTok user Ben Köhler shared a clip on the popular social medium this week showing a film crew wearing face masks (around 01:28:10 in the film). He assumed this was a mistake.

But is that really the case? No, according to director Adam McKay. “Well spottedhe responds on Twitter. We deliberately left this shot in to commemorate the strange circumstances in which we shot this film“.

About this movie
In this comic disaster film, a giant comet hurtles toward Earth. Astronomy student Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor Randall Mindy (Leonardo Dicaprio) make this discovery and, according to the world, try to warn of the monster. However, few people are interested in their story.

Don’t Look Up is now available to watch on Netflix.
